Entrevista - Zerbin

Eu tive a honra de entrevistar a banda canadense Zerbin, essa que tem os membros Jason Zerbin, Nick West e o Peter Mol! Uma banda de gênero indiefolk/alternativa. Eles estão sempre em movimento e sabem bem o que fazem. Vamos torcer para eles virem logo para o Brasil! Confira:

1. Contains a little about you, the members of the band. How it all began? (Contem um pouco sobre você, os membros da banda. Como tudo começou?)

Zerbin is somewhat of a musical collective that started first as a solo project and evolved into what it is today. Jason was joined by Peter early on in the story and they've formed the creative core of Zerbin for the last few years. (Zerbin é um pouco de um coletivo musical que começou como um projeto solo e evoluiu para o que é hoje. Jason foi acompanhado por Peter no início da história e eles formaram o núcleo criativo da Zerbin nos últimos anos.)

2. How to make the band's musical style? What message do enjoy spending through music? (Como criam o estilo musical da banda ? Qual a mensagem que gostam de passar através da música ?)

We are a culmination of a lot of the styles we love. A good dose of indie rock mixed with some folk and pop as well as underlying spirituality. (Somos uma culminação de um monte de estilos que amamos. Uma boa dose de indie rock misturado com um pouco de folk e pop, bem como a espiritualidade subjacente.)

3. What are the musical references of you that leave them inspired? (Quais são as referências musicais do que deixá-los inspirado? )

Lately we've been a big fan of Vampire Weekend, The National & Ellie Golding. (Ultimamente temos sido um grande fã de Vampire Weekend , The National e Ellie Golding.)

4. Is there any song that you wrote that won over the hearts of you leaving them proud? (Existe alguma música que você escreveu que conquistou os corações de vocês, deixando-os orgulhosos?)

I think we're the most proud of New Earth & Lift thus far. These two songs represent alot of what we are about as individuals and the band. (Acho que estamos mais orgulhosos da New Earth e Lift até o momento. Estas duas canções representam muito do que somos como indivíduos e sobre a banda.)

5. Respond very quickly: studio or road? (Responda rapidamente : estúdio ou estrada?)

Estrada! (Road!)

6. What is needed for a band, a ministry, move on? (O que é necessário para uma banda, um ministério, seguir em frente?)

Perseverance and trust. Honesty with yourself and love for the people you're playing for. (Perseverança e confiança. Honestidade consigo mesmo e com amor para as pessoas que você está convivendo.)

7. Family is very important in our life and friends are not deleted, they are also very important. How is the family and friends in the life of a musician? (A família é muito importante na nossa vida e os amigos não são excluídos, eles também são muito importantes. Como é a família e os amigos na vida de um músico?)

They are the foundation of all that we do. Different members of the band have been through some hard times with health in their families and through it we've really learnt the value of those people who know and love you no matter what. (Eles são a base de tudo o que fazemos. Diferentes membros da banda já passou por alguns momentos difíceis com a saúde em suas famílias e por isso realmente aprendemos o valor das pessoas que conhecemos e amamos, não importa o quê.)

8. Contains something funny that happened to you as you go out to work the music. (Contem algo engraçado que aconteceu com vocês, como sairem para trabalhar a música.)

So many embarrassing moments happen on and off stage! Can't think of a specific moment but you'll have to come see a show cause I'm sure something silly will happen. (Tantos momentos embaraçosos acontece dentro e fora do palco! Não consigo pensar em um momento específico, mas você vai ter que vir ver um show porque eu tenho certeza que algo bobo vai acontecer.)

9. Would love to visit Brazil, where is the place? (I nominate Belo Horizonte, a great city that has good coffee cheese bread!) (Gostaria de visitar o Brasil, onde é o lugar? ( Eu indico Belo Horizonte, uma grande cidade que tem um bom café e pão de queijo!))

Anywhere! We love Brazil and defiantly are planning to have it on our tour schedule in the near future. (Em qualquer lugar! Nós amamos o Brasil e desafiadoramente estamos planejando para tê-lo em nossa agenda de shows em um futuro próximo.)

10. People really like the way you show your work and wanted contact with each other on social networks. Finally send a message to all admirers. (As pessoas realmente gostam da maneira como vocês mostram o seus trabalhos e tem o contato uns com os outros em redes sociais. Finalmente, enviem uma mensagem para todos os admiradores.)

We love you! We are super grateful for the amazing fans that we have around the world. We'd also tell them to stay tuned cause we've got a bunch of music coming out and we think its our best yet! :) (Nós te amamos! Estamos super grato com os fãs incríveis que temos em todo o mundo.
